Hi! I'm Mel
...I'm your retreat host & yoga teacher.
As both a degree-qualified nutritionist and yoga teacher, I'm passionate about helping others to nourish their body and mind. I feel privileged to have helped hundreds of women navigate their health, to feel better, so they can start living a fuller life.
My first degree was in human movement, which included studying the biomechanics and anatomy of the body, so my classes incorporate a focus on alignment.
My teaching style is friendly and genuine, and I like to make yoga and good nutrition accessible to all.
I am particularly interested in the use of yoga for stress management and managing women’s midlife hormonal symptoms - so beneficial for us all.
I have completed a Diploma of Hatha Yoga (350hr), done further training in yin yoga, and completed a variety of other courses, workshops and mentoring with teachers including Creature Yoga, Jodie Burton, Ryan Mannix, and Warrior One.

introducing Fera...
Fera will teach the yin / restorative classes in the afternoons.
Born in the culturally vibrant city of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Fera's journey into yoga and healing is deeply rooted in her Javanese heritage and her early exposure to spiritual practices.
Certified in both Yoga and Reiki levels 1 and 2, Fera weaves this powerful modality into her yoga teachings, offering her students an experience that nurtures both body and soul.

I was excited to spend time immersed in yoga and a nurturing environment. Each day of the retreat exceeded my expectations. I liked the timetable and the freedom to choose to miss an activity if you wanted without judgement, but I didn't want to miss anything!
I gained a deeper connection to my yoga and self nourishment. I enjoyed learning new yoga skills and techniques. The accommodation was perfect, it felt like an oasis - completely safe.

Leading up to the retreat I had hit a very busy and stressful time at work. Gifting myself this time away has allowed me to unwind and connect with both my true being and to a group of amazing like-minded women. Nusa Lembongan is a truly magical location, and Mel's knowledge of the area was outstanding.

Before the retreat I wasn’t practicing yoga as much as I’d like so I wasn’t feeling physically and mentally whole. Now, after the retreat I feel relaxed, whole and calm. I really enjoyed the yoga sessions and especially when we had a chance to workshop some poses. The yoga shala was gorgeous, I absolutely loved the setup.
Thank you Mel for facilitating a wonderful week on yoga nutrition and fun. I had an amazing time meeting and creating memories with you and all the others. I’ll cherish the friendships that were created.
